HTA Gives Back
HTA Gives Back At Honda Trading America, we respect and value the communities in which we operate – and strive to give something back to these communities that will truly make a difference.
That's why our HTA Gives Back program is about more than just donating money to important causes – it's about truly adopting a spirit of community service.
Each year, we select worthy causes – such as local food pantries, the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio, the Alzheimer's Association and others – to be the recipients of our time and treasure.
Throughout the year, our associates participate in fundraisers to raise funds for monetary donations to our adopted charities, and we include our customers and the surrounding communities in select activities as well. Some of these events include:
- A silent auction in which HTA associates solicit donations of items from local businesses and national celebrities and the items are sold through a two-day silent bidding event;
- Our HTA golf outing, which began as a customer appreciation event, has now expanded to be a fundraiser as well, with 100 percent of the registration fee donated our selected charities;
- A "Road Rally," where small teams of people go on a modified Scavenger Hunt throughout the NW Central Ohio region, bringing back photos and items based on clues provided; and
- Associate cookouts throughout the year, including our popular "Summer Sizzler" event, where our executive team grills hotdogs and hamburgers for our associates to purchase, with funds going directly to the charities.
