Honda Trading (China) Co., Ltd. signs strategic cooperation agreement with UQI Robotics, a subsidiary of UBTECH Robotics

To promote the utilization and deployment of automation and intelligent equipment systems including humanoid robots and automated guided vehicles

Honda Trading Corporation, through its China subsidiary Honda Trading (China) Co., Ltd. (head office: Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China), has concluded a strategic cooperation agreement with Wuxi UQI Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “UQI Robotics”; head office: Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China), a subsidiary of the Chinese robot manufacturer UBTECH Robotics Corp. Ltd.

Under the agreement, the companies will conduct demonstration experiments on the utilization of humanoid robots in the manufacturing and logistics fields and will sell automation products such as automated guided vehicles.

Overview of humanoid robot demonstration experiments
Demonstration experiments will be conducted to verify the adaptability of humanoid robots in manufacturing and logistics sites with the aim of improving productivity and operational efficiency. The main verification items are:

- Verification of the applicability of humanoid robots to actual sites
- Verification of potential future application scenarios for humanoid robots

The demonstration experiments are scheduled to be conducted at the warehouses and other facilities of partner companies.

Based on the results of the demonstration experiments, Honda Trading (China) Co., Ltd. will examine, together with UQI Robotics, whether to introduce the technology and its potential applications going forward.

Overview of sales of automation products such as automated guided vehicles
Through Honda Trading’s network, Honda Trading (China) Co., Ltd. will propose and sell UQI Robotics’ automated guided vehicles, automated warehouses and other automation solutions.
