History

1990 Honda Trading Canada (HTC) office is established in Alliston, Ontario in support of Honda of Canada Manufacturing(HCM) and other HT offices
1993 The beginning of the Raw Materials Supply System in Canada. 
HTC begins business with the US steel mills and with Canadian steel mills in the following year
1999 HTC becomes Licensed Customs Broker clearing shipments for HCM and HTC. 
HTC starts to manage the HCM Ferrous Scrap Program
2000 HTC 10 year anniversary - 16 employees with annual sales approaching $275 million. 
Business expands into welding and logistics for local deliveries begins. 
HTC implements the Plastics Supply System
2002 Established MRO Supply System.
Steel begins exporting overseas and logistics expands
2004 Exports to US, Japan, Korea and China begin.
Major HTC office expansion.
2005 HTC 15 year anniversary – 33 employees with sales approaching $420 million. 
Steel Mill Logistics business begins.
2006 HOSHU business begins.
2010 HTC 20 year anniversary – 41 employees with annual sales of $336 million. 
HTC implements the close loop copper recycling program.
2011 HTC expands the recycling division by managing the HCM Engine Plant Scrap Flow
2012 Parts export business expands into Brazil
HTC implementation of SOX controls
2013 HTC Customs obtains CSA (Customs Self Assessment) accreditation
2014 Established dedicated Compliance & Governance function
2017 HTC Logistic business expansion supporting moves related to Import/Export to Mexico
2019 Launch of HTC Business Development team
